Angolan Interior Minister Visits Police Equipment Exhibition in Israel


Angolan Interior Minister Angelo de Barros Veiga Tavares visited a military and police security and technology exhibition in Tel Aviv, Israel on Tuesday.

The Technology Fair, organized by the Israeli Export Institute, took place on the sidelines of the International Conference on Public Security, which brings together security specialists from various countries, to exchange experiences in preventing and combating terrorism and protecting infra -strategic structures.

The interior minister, accompanied by the chief commander of the National Police (PN), Ambrósio de Lemos, and senior officials of the sector, visited the stands of Israeli private and state companies, having received detailed explanation on the effectiveness of the equipment, as well as the possibility of acquiring them.

Among the areas visited is fire extinguishing and criminal control.

The commander of the National Civil Protection and Fire Service, António Vicente Gimbe, considered the exhibition to be extremely important, and it was possible to combine the theory with the topics discussed at the conference and the technologies “in situ” with the presentation of the technical.
